About Learning Forum London and ePortfolio 2009
One event, three conferences! Learning Forum London offers for the first time three complementary events: the 7th International ePortfolio conference, Key Competencies—Skills for Life and Learning Networks & Communities. This event brings together policy-makers, researchers, teachers, trainers, human resource managers and technologists. As a thematic event it allows an in-depth and broad exploration of the issues - and results in real outcomes. Past events have resulted in the creation of national and international networks, contribution to policies, contribution to standardisation bodies, establishing partnerships with other communities in the field of digital identity and human resource standards, transnational projects and numerous publications.
ePortfolio 2009Over 6 years more than 1,500 delegates from 43 countries, the largest groups being from the UK and The Netherlands, have contributed to the reflection on ePortfolio. Learning London ForumLearning Forum London brings together three main international conferences:
The Learning London Forum is expected to bring together between 400 to 500 delegates from 35 countries. Delegates will be decision makers from the human resource, employment and industry sectors, the education and training sector, as well as public authorities. Event historyIt was in 2003 in Poitiers, France, that EIfEL organised the first International ePortfolio Conference, attracting delegates from 20 different countries. It was also during that event that EIfEL first exposed its vision that "by 2010, every citizen will have an ePortfolio !" Since then, EIfEL has organised and co-organised a series of ePortfolio events and conferences, in Europe and worldwide, in North America and Asia Pacific. The conference was further extended to include the digital identity (Liberty Alliance project) and human resource standardisation (HR-XML) communities, and the conclusions were that the issues of ePortfolio and digital identity are intrinsically connected and should be discussed in the same forum. In parallel to this successful series of ePortfolio events EIfEL then launched 2 other international events:
This year, our goal is to consolidate our work and bring togethers the different actors contributing to the creation of a learning society. |
