Submission procedure

Each submission must explicitly address at least one of the themes of the conference. During the sessions the presenters will have the opportunity to state their individual contribution to these issues that will be the input for further debate and recommendations.

Submission type

  • Research paper: (8 pages) – full papers are detailed descriptions of scientific work; with or without 10-20 minutes presentation, including question time

  • Case study (2-5 pages) – with or without 10-20 minutes presentation, including question time

  • Work-in-progress (2- 5 pages) – with or without 10 minutes presentation, including question time

  • Poster - A1 format – a space will be provided in the exhibition area

Contributions submitted should provide a 500 to 750 words presentation (please use the "abstract" field of the conference management tool to facilitate the review process).

All submissions must be done using the conference management tool:

Submission deadlines

  • 30 November 2007: deadline for receipt of abstracts (500 to 750 words)
  • 15 December 2007: notification of  Authors
  • 10 January 2008 deadline for receipt of corrected abstracts, which will be given out to conference participants
  • 15 February 2008 deadline for receipt of other submissions, ready for publishing. Conference proceedings will available by the end of March 2008
In order to have their articles published, authors must be registered and have paid their conference fees at the time of receipt of corrected abstracts.

Submission of contributions

On submission of abstract, the preferred mode may be specified, but depending on the topic and input from other contributors, delegates may be invited to submit in another mode. Whatever the mode, all presenters will be invited to contribute a fuller text version on their chosen topic to be edited for publication in print and in shortened form for the iLearning 2008 conference website.

NB: the conference management tool ( provides a special field for abstracts. This is where abstracts have to be submitted. No abstract file should be uploaded, only presentations and contributions (papers, short papers, presentation files, etc.).

  • Objectives
  • Summary of results
  • Conclusions and recommendations

Before preparing your submission carefully study the instructions given below:
  1. Submissions mus be submitted using our conference management service.
  2. The submission should not contain charts, graphics, references, or credits.
  3. Submissions will not be edited by the conference organiser. Before submitting, check carefully to make sure it contains no spelling or typographical errors.
  4. An untidy abstract will not be included in the programme.  
  5. Authors must state which format they wish their presentation to be considered as.
