EIfEL is recruiting a Membership and Events Manager
In order to expand its activities and support its members across Europe and internationally, EIfEL is seeking to appoint a Membership and Events Manager.
Regional ePortfolio Track
This year, the regional ePortfolio track has been reinforced, thanks to the support of the Limburg Region. Our objective is to bring together, policy makers and practitioners to explore the current results of regional and territorial policies such as those developed in Wales and Minnesota to discuss the foundations for future regional and national ePortfolio policies and international co-operation.
Increasing Employability by Introducing e-Portfolio for All in the Netherlands
In order to increase employability every member of the labour force in The Netherlands will be entitled to a digital e-portfolio. This is one of the key recommendations of the Dutch Committee on Labour Market Participation in "Towards a future that works" (June 2008).
Leading Industry Experts Chosen to Judge Wold of Learning Awards 2008
A group of highly respected learning and development experts and leading practitioners have been appointed to the judging panel for the World of Learning Awards 2008.

NEC, Birmingham, on 19 November 2008 will host the highly competitive Awards ceremony. Now in their eighth year, the WORLD OF LEARNING AWARDS are acknowledged as the premier event for honouring learning-specific solutions. The closing date for entries is 5pm on 19 September 2008.
Special Issue on ePortfolio and Digital Identity of the Canadian Journal of Learning and Technology
The Canadian Journal of Learning and Technology is a peer-reviewed journal that welcomes papers on all aspects of educational technology and learning. Topics may include, but are not limited to: learning theory and technology, cognition and technology, instructional design theory and application, online learning, computer applications in education, simulations and gaming, and other aspects of the use of technology in the learning process. Manuscripts may be submitted either in English or in French.

In order to prepare the discussion during the Montréal conference (5-7 May), we invite the delegates to contribute to a discussion on the place of ePortfolio in relation to digital identies. The hypothesis we would like to formulate, as foundation for the discussion, is the following: The ePortfolio is not a mere paperless portfolio but is in fact another name for digital identity. Up to the start of the Conference, a number of blog entries will be published under the heading "Is the ePortfolio dead? Long life to Digital Identity." We invite you to present your views on how you see the relationship between ePortfolios and digital identities (how similar or different they are) and their future evolution.
