Human Resources Technology Conference

HR-XML Europe

Along with OOA, Prolix and Tencompetence, HR-XML will design the Human Resources Technology Conference.

  • HR-XML Consortium Europe is the European branch of the international HR-XML Consortium. The independent, non-profit organization is dedicated to the development and promotion of data interchange standards to enable e-business and the automation of human resources-related data exchanges.

Human resources-related e-business – or any inter-company exchange of HR data – requires an agreement among participants about how the transaction or data exchange will be accomplished. The intent of HR-XML Europe is to spare employers and vendors the risk and expense of having to negotiate and agree upon data interchange mechanisms on an ad-hoc basis. By developing and publishing open data exchange standards based on Extensible Markup Language ("XML"), the Consortium provides the means for any company to transact with other companies without having to establish, engineer, and implement many separate interchange mechanisms. Today there are specifications available for business cases like Assessments, Background Checking, Benefits, Competencies, Payroll, Recruiting, Resume Data, Staffing, etc.

  • OOA is an international not-for-profit organization bringing together industry, government, and research leaders and innovators concerned with ontology development, use, and education. The principal mission of the OOA is to develop strategies for ontology recommendation and standardization, and thereby promote the ontology technology to industry. The OOA focuses mainly on content rather than on technology.

  • PROLIX is Europe’s leading project in the 6th EU RD Framework engaging leading EU Learning Technologies Providers to effectively integrate Business Intelligence, eLearning and Skills management systems and solutions.

  • TENCompetence is funded by the European Commission through the IST Programme. It is developing and using infrastructure to support individuals, groups and organisations in lifelong competence development.

HR-XML Europe will deliver a series of presentations and enable discussions on current technology topics like:

  • Privacy and identity management trends
  • HR-XML 3.0
  • SEP and SOA
  • HR and Semantics
  • Employability
  • Unification of structured and unstructured data
  • Challenges and implications of the Online CV
